Each of these beauty must-haves literally daily to cover all the facets of beauty. I’m going to cover eyes, hair, lips, and skin!
1. For my eyes, I always wear L’Oréal VOLUMINOUS® Carbon Black Mascara.
It’s been my go to for a decade. I don’t know what I would do if they went off the market. I feel like I often fall in love with something and it disappears. Thankfully L’Oréal has been steady eddy in providing me healthy, long lashes for years now. I’m beginning to love their Voluminous Lash Boosting Conditioning Primer too.
2. For my hair, Batiste Dry Shampoo is clutch.
I think it’s really important to let your hair be as healthy as possible by leaving it alone. Yes, I use my fair share of products and one of them is the topic of this category, but for the most part, I try to go as long between washes as possible. Sometimes, I go one week between shampoos – not showers though. That would be disturbing. I love Cherry, but they have a ton of other great scents.
3. For my skin (and hair), I use Silk.
Get a silk pillowcase! My favorite brand, MYK Silk, provided a 15% off code just for you babes to get one before Valentine’s Day: VDAY15. Yep, good old fashioned, classy silk. Every night, I use a silk pillowcase. It’s best to use pure mulberry silk, the highest quality of silk. MYK Silk makes them OEKO-Tex certified, which means free of harmful chemicals and hypoallergenic.
Below are some benefits of silk on hair and skin from MYK Silk:
- Because pure silk is rich in amino acids and proteins, it keeps frizz under control, reduces friction on hair meaning reduction in hair damage, such as split ends. This is great for anyone looking to grow longer, stronger and healthier hair.
- Silk pillowcases help retain the natural moisture of skin and the ultra-smooth surface of silk prevents unnecessary pulling/friction on the face which helps in preventing facial wrinkles and fine lines.
Also, after showers, I try my hair with a large square of silk that my brother-in-law brought back from Japan for me to use as a scarf. Here’s what you do:
- Ring out excess water from your hair
- Wrap wet hair in it until it no longer drips water.
My hair is straight as a stick, so I can wear it on my drive to work and brush it before I get out of the car. Then voila, its all set.
4. Again, for skin (because its really important!), is the Desert Essence Tea Tree Face Wash.
It’s so gentle on my face with minimal ingredients and yet its so effective at cleaning my skin
5. For lips, Victoria Secret Lip Stain is the absolute most legit and affordable.
I swear by it. Similar to my favorite mascara, this is one that I hope and pray will never be discontinued. My favorite color is “Stay Awhile,” but there are so many other options for you to check out. Here’s a shot with the lip stain. It’s lasts for half a day easily.
Happy beautifying, babes! What are your beauty must-haves?
