Meal Planning

Meal Planning (March) Madness Challenge

Welcome to the Meal Planning Madness Challenge!

We are very entrepreneurial in our house. Since my husband is a legit, classically trained chef, he’s still comes home with enough energy to make dinner (mostly because he loves me!) But I want to help out more than I have been.

Don’t be fooled – this is hard for me.

About a decade ago, I read a study about the efficiency of running. Therefore, I set my mind to become a runner. It took a long time to develop the habits, which I have since lost. However, for about eight years, I learned to love running because I had a strong enough desire.

Now I want to learn to love cooking and meal planning.

Since accountability works, I’m going to post throughout the month. Every weekend of March, I will post my grocery list and the next week of meals on Pinterest. Make sure to follow my meal planning board.

My goal for this meal planning challenge is to make it through March with an executable weekly plan.

As promised, here is the blank template for meal planning. Sometime tomorrow, I will post our first week of meals.

You’ll notice there are eight slots for each meal. This is to always allow for a choice. As parents, we learn to give our children choices. So why don’t we give ourselves choices as well?

I need your help – send good recipes!

So, my secondary goal is to keep the meals yummy for him. Please send me recipes and ANY suggestions. For instance, my friend told me right away that I need to double the spices on all the crock pot recipes. Nice to know!

Stay connected throughout the month in the following ways:

  1. Turn on post notifications on Facebook
  2. Get emails from my blog
  3. Follow me on Pinterest
  4. Please direct message me with me if you have any ideas.
